ARTICLE 6: DAY 3 - GAINING IMPROVEMENTS

On my third day of immersion, I noticed an improvement in my confidence when interacting with both patients and staff. Compared to the previous days, I was more comfortable approaching patients and assisting them with basic instructions related to their laboratory procedures. This change helped me realize that confidence develops through continuous exposure and practice.

I learned how to communicate clearly while maintaining professionalism. When patients asked questions, I made sure to respond politely and seek assistance from staff whenever necessary. This taught me that asking for guidance is part of learning and not a sign of weakness.

Observing how healthcare workers handle different situations inspired me to improve my own attitude and work ethic. I learned to remain calm and composed, even during busy periods. This experience showed me that confidence is not about knowing everything but about being responsible, respectful, and willing to learn.

By the end of the day, I felt more motivated and self-assured. I realized that every interaction, no matter how small, contributes to my personal growth. This day strengthened my belief that continuous learning and practice are essential in developing professional confidence.
