ARTICLE 7: DAY 4 - IMPROVING TIME MANAGEMENT
On my fourth day of work immersion, I was challenged to improve my time management skills. The laboratory environment required me to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including assisting patients, organizing documents, and following instructions from the staff. At first, balancing these responsibilities felt overwhelming, and I realized that effective planning and prioritization were essential for completing tasks efficiently and accurately.
Throughout the day, I observed how the staff managed their workload with precision and discipline. They were able to assist several patients, organize laboratory results, and complete tasks without delays. This observation motivated me to adopt similar strategies in organizing my own responsibilities. I learned to assess which tasks required immediate attention and which could be scheduled for later, allowing me to work more effectively without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
The experience also taught me that proper time management reduces stress and promotes confidence in performing duties. By maintaining focus and adhering to a schedule, I was able to complete all assigned tasks on time and provide satisfactory assistance to patients. Additionally, I became more aware of how each task, no matter how small, contributes to the overall efficiency of the workplace.
By the end of the day, I understood that managing time is not only a technical skill but also a reflection of discipline, responsibility, and professionalism. This experience encouraged me to remain organized and mindful in both my academic and professional pursuits.
